The working standard
Access is part of the build.
This statement describes the current website, Bermline's accessibility practices, and its ongoing accessibility work. It is an operating commitment, not a claim of legal certification.
Our commitment
Bermline is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is treated as ongoing maintenance, not a one-time checklist. New pages, forms, media, and third-party tools should be reviewed before they are published.
Measures in the current website
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users move directly to the main content.
- Semantic headings, navigation, main content, sections, lists, forms, and footer landmarks organize the pages.
- Links, buttons, form controls, and the interactive trailer comparison can be operated with a keyboard.
- Visible focus indicators identify the active control.
- Form controls have programmatically associated labels, required-field validation, and an announced status message.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives. Decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
- The layout reflows for narrow screens. Responsive layout and enlarged-text checks are part of release testing.
- Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
- The site does not use an automated accessibility overlay or widget. Accessibility work is handled directly in the code.
Known limitations
- The quote form sends your entries and photos to Bermline through our website host. Native file-picker behavior depends on your browser and device. You can also call or text instead of using the form.
- Automated checks cannot establish compatibility with every screen reader or assistive-technology combination. Feedback from people using those tools remains part of the review process.
- Any future scheduling, payment, map, chat, review, or other third-party service will need an accessibility review before activation.
- Operating photographs and videos are not included on the website. Meaningful media receives accurate alternative text, captions, or transcripts as appropriate.
Reporting an accessibility barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, call or text (904) 298-7293, or use the quote form to describe the problem. Please include the page or section, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device, or assistive technology involved if you are comfortable sharing that information.
You can also email bermlinejunk@gmail.com. The online form is not the only way to request help or an alternative format.
Testing and maintenance
The website is reviewed with automated accessibility tools, keyboard-only interaction checks, responsive layout checks, semantic markup review, and visual contrast checks. Automated tools cannot find every barrier, so human review remains part of the release process.
